Valuable, important information-definitely! The author teaches you how to handle yourself in a godly manner when you feel like you're about to come "unglued" (or lose your temper unjustly). The writer describes many situations when she has come unglued, and I could totally relate. There's one particular part that sticks out in my mind. She says that without rest, you will increase your stress level, and when you increase your stress level, you will have tendencies to become unglued. This line definitely hits home! Resting and de-stressing are a must! Something I will certainly be working on, especially as the new school year gets closer and closer. I tend to get overwhelmed, and thanks to this book, I now have some strategies on how to cope in a peaceful, healthy manner. This is just one of the many lessons I learned from this very insightful read!

That was book #8 on my list. Only 2 more to go to reach my goal for the year! I have to take a bit of a break to read a professional development book for school. Boo! But I already have book #9 selected-The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman. I don't know why I'm into the self-help books right now, but I hear that it's a good one, too. So why not?! This one, though, is focused on strengthening your relationship with your significant other. Brantley has agreed (without any convincing, bribery, or any sort of pleading) to read it along with me. We'll start this one in a few weeks. :)
