About a week ago, Brantley and I went to a beautiful outdoor wedding. The weather was perfect, and the setting was quite picturesque-a gorgeous rock quarry (pictured below, courtesy of Carrigan Farms). The ceremony and reception were both held outdoors, which fit the couple's rustic/vintage theme. We enjoyed every bit of the wedding, but the best part...
the cupcakes (pictured below, courtesy of Sweet Cakes Bakery)!!! They were, hands down, the best I've ever had, and I think Brantley would agree. The flavors included: lemon, white chocolate raspberry, Mississippi mud, butter pecan (my favorite), and maple bacon (Brantley's favorite).
Yesterday afternoon, I searched online for a nearby bakery. I wanted to order cake/cake pops/cupcakes for Brantley's upcoming birthday. Well guess what I stumbled upon?! Sweet Cakes Bakery! I knew this had to be the same bakery that made the cupcakes for the wedding. Who else would have flavors like "maple bacon" and "Mississippi mud"? Needless to say, I'll soon be ordering 3 dozen mini cupcakes. That may sound like a lot, but they're bite-sized so it's easy to eat 3-4 at a time. My mouth waters from just looking at the picture of them. Yum! :)
