weekend wrap-up

We had a great start to our long weekend. Friday night we joined some friends for dinner and drinks at one of our local favorites- Cabo Fish Taco. We highly enjoyed their company and vowed to meet more often for such outings. Saturday started with our normal routine-gym and grocery shopping. Then we watched a friend's band play and later that evening we met with up with another couple for dinner. Our night ended with a low-key birthday celebration at a nearby bar with about 10 of some of our closest friends. We couldn't have asked for better weather so we all gathered chairs and sat outside together. We chatted and gave cheers to the birthday boy. It was perfect!

Brantley and I have enjoyed a mostly lazy Sunday together with sleeping in, movies, and a game of Skipbo. In a moment of spontaneity, we decided on tacos for dinner so we headed out to get the ingredients. I tried tofu for the first time, and it wasn't too bad. Not much taste to it but a great way to get some protein! (Meatless, cheese-less, and sour cream-less tacos sound great, right?! Lol!)

Tomorrow, we'll hit the gym early and then head to the pool for yet another day of relaxation. Yay for a 3-day weekend! I needed it!
