new home

Here are the pictures you've been waiting for! My apologies for not getting them on here sooner, but today is the first day we've had to relax a little bit. My camera zooms in too far, so I had to take them on Brantley's point and shoot. I played with the lighting, but they still turned out too dark, and I don't have the energy for photoshop. My apologies for that, too!

We closed on Wednesday morning, and after a few errands, we started cleaning and painting our bedroom. With the help of a few friends, we loaded up the U-haul Thursday morning and headed over to Donattello Avenue. We quickly unloaded and then began unpacking. It took us about 2 days and 6 trips to Lowe's to get things organized and a few small projects completed. We had been working hard and our bodies were sore and bruised, so it seemed to me that we deserved a treat. Late Saturday afternoon we enjoyed a couples massage, and it was the perfect medicine! We could easily become addicts!

Today we vowed to take it easy and enjoy our new home. Other than the gym and laundry, we've done exactly that :)

The picture below is of the living room. Yes, we know our curtains are too short. Don't worry...we're working on getting longer ones. You can tell we're first-time home buyers-we didn't measure before we went to buy. The result...tacky-looking curtains. Oops!

This picture shows the living room from another angle, our pub table, and the hallway that leads to the guest bedroom and bath.

The kitchen

Guest bath and below that is the bedroom.

Believe it or not, but this pile is very tame compared to what it was a few days ago.

We're ready for visitors so stop by and see us :)
