Ava's Arrival

Last Friday I woke up to 24 missed phone calls, a few from my mom and the rest from my brother, Cole. I immediately returned his calls, expecting to be told that I had a new niece. “So am I an aunt yet?” “No, Alli’s dilated at 9 ½ centimeters.” So all of those calls were just to let me know that my sister-in-law was about to give birth. About an hour later, I received another call. “You’re officially an aunt now!” He gave me the details. She was 7lbs. 9 oz. and 21 inches long. Monday morning I flew out to Colorado to join my family in welcoming the new baby. Here are a few snapshots of Miss Ava Colette at only 4 days old.
