Lone Wolf

One of my goals this year is to read at least 10 books.  I last posted in March about Safe Haven, which was book #4.  Fast forward to June 16th, and I finished book #5.  Yes, it took me that long to get through it!  We've had a lot going on recently, but 2 1/2 months to finish a book is a bit extensive.  Sheesh!  That should give you a clue as to how I felt about it-not great!  I struggled with this one, but I hate giving up on a book so I was determined to finish it.  This author, Jodi Picoult (whom I love), writes each chapter from a different character's perspective.  In this particular book, the father's chapters are mostly about wolves and their behaviors, which does not interest me in the least.  As in typical Picoult fashion, the book doesn't have a "happily ever after" ending and leaves you feeling a little down.

I need something uplifting for the summer, so I've started book #6-Unglued by Lysa TerKeurst.  I'm about one-fourth of the way through it so far.  It's a quick, easy read but certainly makes you think about the person you are and the person you want to be.  Good stuff!
