As I mentioned, Brantley and I had a flight to St. Louis for my high school reunion and an extended weekend with the fam. We arrived late Thursday night, and Friday was spent running errands with the whole crew. One stop included a visit to the DMV. Zach passed his driving permit test! Yay for him! That night, we stopped by to visit with two of my favorite little people-Ava & Malia. I didn't get to hold Malia for too long. Ava wanted me all to herself, but I sure didn't mind that!
I spent Saturday with my best friend, Kari and her adorable little girl, while Brantley golfed with her husband and two other guys. That night, we all met up again for our reunion. Luckily, it was not awkward like I had originally suspected. Everyone mixed and mingled quite well. Not too much has changed in the past ten years. People certainly have matured but looks and personalities were the same as I remembered. I think everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and we look forward to the next one.
On Sunday, the West/Strong crew came over for dinner. Mom planned a surprise dessert-an anniversary cake for Brantley and me. Carrot cake-delicious! :) We said our goodbyes and headed back to Charlotte on Monday morning. We'll be back for Christmas in just two short months!
