a few home improvements

As I mentioned before, our condo needed a little burst of decor. I made the artwork last weekend, and I had a few other things in mind:

1) something decorative for an empty wall space in the hallway,

2) a magazine rack, and

3) a towel bar and ring for the upstairs bathroom.

A few days ago, I finally spent our Pier 1 giftcards that we had received as wedding presents months ago. I checked #1 and #2 off of my list-found a great magazine rack and a sconce for the empty space in the wall. Yesterday, Brantley and I went to Home Depot and found a towel bar and ring that matched the existing t.p. roll holder. This morning, B got to work hanging everything. I loved the new additions, but the bathroom still needed a little spicing up so I took a quick trip to Kohl's and crossed my fingers that I could come up with something. And I did! I found red towels to accent the other little bit of red in the bathroom, and I found a plaque that would work perfectly above the towel bar.

Little by little, we'll get The Byrds' Nest fully decorated! :)
