artwork by the Mrs.

If you know me at all, you know that I'm not good at decorating, which is why the walls of our condo are mostly empty. I'm also not good at making decisions, and I often change my mind-more reasons why we have bare walls. Well, I decided that it's time for us to change that. We need to spice up our condo just a bit.

My good friend, co-worker, and new neighbor, Katie, and I had an "arts & crafts" date yesterday afternoon. She found a simple artwork design on Pinterest, and we both decided to try it. I try my hand at DIY projects and arts and crafts, but I'm definitely an amateur, so this was the perfect project for me. I already had the canvases and various colors of acrylic paint. I just needed the round sponge brushes and brown paint marker for the branches. A quick trip to Hobby Lobby solved that, and $9 later I was ready to start painting.

Here are complete details on how to create this artwork if you're interested. Mine isn't quite as full as the example, but I'm pleased with the simplicity. My part is complete; now Brantley gets to hang all of them. At first I was thinking that they should go above the couch, but now I have another spot in mind. See what I mean about changing my mind?!
