No, I haven't fallen off the face of the planet, and yes, I'm alive and well. I've just been a really big blog-slacker! Monday through Friday from 7:00 am-4:00 pm, my life revolves around 22 third graders, and from 4:00pm -9:00pm and all weekend long, my time is spent with B, Milo, and planning for October 15th. After today, we only have 3 more weekends available, but we will be in Ohio next weekend for a friend's wedding. I can't wait to see her planning come to life! And the weekend after that (October 1st), I will be getting my bridal portraits taken, and Brantley will be out of town. That doesn't give us too much more time! But I'm confident that everything will get done.
Here's one project we've recently crossed off the list. If guests give us a card, they can place it right in the top. I didn't like most of the pre-made card boxes, and the ones I did like ran about $70-$80. I knew I could make it for less than that. So, on Labor Day, B and I had a lengthy arts & craft session.
I still need to get some sort of decoration for the top, but I thought it turned out okay. I was quite proud of us!
