- Our chosen officiant is now official!
- Flower decorations have been chosen.
- We picked out a cake, and I met with our cake baker. It will consist of four layers. Two of them will be spice-flavored, which is Brantley's favorite, and two of them will be vanilla. We chose to have it smothered in buttercream icing. Yum!
- outlined the ceremony and began creating the program
- invitations are prepared and ready for the mail
- rehearsal time is set
- walked through the reception from beginning to end with the wedding director
Upcoming things to do:
- a tasting of dinner menu for the reception
- pick out place cards and have them printed
- finalize ceremony and have programs printed
- finish choosing music selections
- have groomsmen get fitted for their tuxes
For the most part, everything is falling into place and going smoothly. There's only one very important item that I'm beginning to worry about-my dress!! It was ordered in late December, and it still hasn't arrived. Once it gets to the bridal shop in St. Louis, it will have to be shipped to me in Charlotte so that prolongs the process even more. Fingers crossed that it comes in next week!
84 days and counting!
