squeaky clean

Last Saturday, Brantley and I went on our third hiking trip of the summer. We decided to take the puppy along. Milo was so anxious and so excited when we arrived! He walked just ahead of me, moving his little legs as fast as he could. But it didn't take too long for him to poop out as we climbed higher and higher. I had to pick him up several times, and one time I put him back down and tried to pet him. When I did, he just fell over completely. He was so exhausted! I carried him the rest of the way back down the mountain, and we all took a break for lunch. After that, he was re-energized and ready to go again! We walked to the waterfall and felt the cool water. He wasn't loving it, and at that point, we knew his bath that evening wouldn't be much fun.

He kept trying to climb out but his little paws would slip & slide all over the place.

He was quivering so badly!

He smelled so clean and was so soft and cuddly once he finally dried off.

Apparently, it didn't tire him out too badly, because he woke us up at 5 a.m. on Sunday morning! Sleeping in is no longer a luxury for us!
