Last day of school!!! Woo hoo! It's so crazy to me that my first three years of teaching have come and gone already. Though I've had numerous unpleasant situations with "special" students, I can honestly say that I do like my job. Sure, they give me gray hair, tense shoulders, and what seems to be a permanent frown, but it's the good moments with the "special" ones and the handful of angels that make teaching worth going to school everyday. Tomorrow is a teacher workday. My classroom is packed up with the exception of a few things in my desk. Once all of the paperwork is taken care of, I'm officially free....at least for a few days. I have Friday and the weekend to do as I please. Brantley is away until Monday, and I have absolutely no plans. I'm thinking gym, pool, reading Twilight, maybe a massage. Who knows! I'm not scheduling anything! I haven't had work-free weekends and time to myself in a while, and I'm sooo thrilled! Once Monday hits, though, I'm back to work. Sorta. I start nannying for a set of 8-year-old twin girls. I babysat them last weekend for a few hours, and I can already tell that we're going to have a blast together this summer!
On another note, B and I got the condo in Noda!!! We close at the end of July, and we're both so excited! We're already planning dinner dates at the trendy restaurants Noda has to offer, how we want to decorate, and what furniture we need to buy. Maybe we're a little ahead of ourselves, but we're both a little antsy!
Life is good right now :) Can't wait for the fam to visit in a few weeks!
