On Friday, Brantley asked, "Why are you so happy this morning?" "Because I love getting my hair cut, and I'm excited about doing nothing all day." Later that morning, we dropped off his car to get an inspection and some other work done on it. I went to get my hair done and returned home about an hour later. I made a fruit salad, did a few house chores, puttered around the apartment for a bit. We were surprised with chocolate-covered strawberries. It was a great start to Good Friday, and I was looking forward to relaxing and resting my legs for Saturday's big run. We then decided to go to the grocery store. We were chit-chatting along the way when suddenly, we heard tires squeal. Within a split second, the car behind us plowed into the rear passenger side of my car. Brantley was driving, luckily, because I probably would've been a complete mess. Everyone was okay, though, and we were very thankful for that. My car was not driveable, so we hitched a ride with the cop to Firestone to pick up Brantley's car. We talked with insurance, tow truck, and rental car companies all day long. Not exactly how we wanted to spend our Friday, but we got everything settled and no one was injured.
Yesterday, we decided to just hang out and be lazy all day, especially after what we dealt with on Friday. So after my run and his workout, we spent the day laying around and watching movies. We were so anxious about our Easter dinner that we made it a day early. Mmm...chicken pot pies :) They were delicious!!!
