one year ago

Oh, how I heart Sundays! On today's agenda: laundry, a little bit of grading and school work, grocery shopping, and the gym. Nothing too exhausting and some of which will be done from the comfort of my own couch. I need a recovery day, anyway. Yesterday, Ryan and I ran 8 miles on the treadmill. I finished in about 80 minutes and 30 seconds, and Ryan was just about a minute ahead of me. The run went well, probably because we carb-loaded the night before with pasta, and I prefaced the run with pain killers as prevention.

Brantley had lunch ready for me when I got home. So I scarfed down a half sandwich, drank a gallon of Crystal Light, and hopped in the shower. An hour later, we were on the city bus to Uptown for the St. Patty's Day Pub Crawl, which is where Brantley and I met one year ago. I can't believe we've known each other for a whole year already. Oh, how time flies! Anyway, we had a lot of fun yesterday, despite the cold, rainy weather. We endured the same last year, so we knew what to expect and just prepared ourselves. I think it has become a tradition. We'll probably go back again next year!
