home sweet home

As Dorothy once said, "There's no place like home. There's no place like home." Well after living 850 miles away, I now realize the truth in that statement. At the airport Friday night, I was greeted by my parents, brother, and their new dog, Hank. We stopped for dinner on the way home and enjoyed some delicious Mexican food at a local restaurant. Later, when I walked inside the house, I just felt warm and peaceful. It was nice to be in a real home and not an apartment. Of course, my mom had the house spotless. Everything placed where it belonged. My bed was made perfectly-all six pillows aligned just right. 'Oh, it's so nice to be home,' I thought to myself. Perfectly refreshing!

On Sunday, we enjoyed some small town kind of fun. We joined our neighbors in their driveway for some barbeque and drinks, while the kiddos played nearby.

"Let's play popcorn! Try to pop me, Haley."

Yeah, while I was taking pictures of the girls, the boys were fighting. I'm such a great teacher!
