Turkey Day

Brantley's mom joined us on Wednesday afternoon, and on Thanksgiving day, we spent the day in the kitchen, preparing for our first Paleo-style turkey day.  I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical in the beginning about having a complete Paleo meal, but I decided to roll with the idea.  I knew it was important to Brantley.  In the end, though, I was quite surprised and impressed.  Some of the dishes needed a little more of this or less of that, but they were all pretty tasty.

Trish and I spent our Black Friday cleaning out and organizing three of our closets.  I don't have "before" pictures to show, but I sure wish I did.  Before we started working, two of them were cluttered, full of random stuff, and just a complete mess.  We donated things we didn't need or want, moved a few things to the storage closet, added some shelves and storage units, arranged and rearranged several times until we finally decided on a setup that would work best for Brantley and me.  This was so much better (and more satisfying) than shopping in a crowded mall!

We left the doors open for a little while and just admired our work!  :)
