Since I have some time off this summer, I want to delve into some simple DIY crafts and home updates. Yesterday, I got the urge to get project #1 underway. I got my inspiration from
a blog full of all sorts of wreaths. I narrowed it down to my top 3 choices, and Brantley helped me pick one. We went to
Michael's for all of the materials, and luckily, he was there to help me decide on which items to choose. We ended up with brown/grayish yarn speckled with cream and black. I wanted multi-colored felt for the flowers, but the choices were very limited so we just went with burgundy. My plan was to get all of the supplies and maybe get started, but I had ants in my pants and just couldn't sit still. I got started, and then I didn't want to stop. A few hours later, I finished summer project #1.

The wrapping took a really long time!

The flowers look red, but they're really more of a burgundy color.

I'm happy with the final product! :)
With the colors and wool-looking yarn, it has a fall/winter feel so I may need to may a spring/summer wreath. Maybe that will be project #2...
