A few weeks ago, my friend had approached me and asked if we wanted to set a date for pictures. I take them of her family, and her husband, Jason, takes them for Brantley and me. She suggested mid-morning on Halloween. B and I didn't have any plans so we agreed to meet. They picked us up and we headed to the Myers Park area of Charlotte. When we got there, Jason and I looked around and found a few different settings. B and I posed for a few pictures here and there, then I'd snap a few photos of them. We each took a few turns...until we got to the tree. Jason took several of us under the tree, and then we moved around to another spot under the same tree. I was thinking, "Jason must love this tree!" Then all of a sudden, Brantley takes my arm from around his waist and tells me that he didn't put the diamond in layaway. He bought the ring, and as he's pulling it out of his sock, Jason was snapping away. I was so shocked! I was crying...and smiling...and shaking...all at the same time! I'm so glad we have the pictures to tell the story, because I was too surprised to remember everything that was going on.

I've told that story several times over the past few days, and it's one that I'll never get tired of telling. It's a great one to share!
