We had so much fun in Virginia this weekend with Brantley's family. Kim, Gene, and their new addition, Bella, were so welcoming. Bella greeted us Friday evening with lots of love and kisses. We spent Saturday dying Easter eggs, going on a hike, and a few games of Scrabble and Sudoku.
As usual, Kim whipped up delicious food and kept our bellies full the whole weekend. We ate like royalty! We had a breakfast casserole and strawberries Saturday morning, steak, mashed potatoes, salad, and bread for dinner, scrambled eggs, cinnamon apples, biscuits and gravy, and bacon for breakfast on Sunday, followed by the best pecan pie I've ever had! Needless to say, Brantley and I did not follow our typical diet. Oh well! It was nice little getaway for us and definitely worth the extra calories! We'll be back soon :)
