1st birthday

On this day, one year ago, I remember getting the phone call from my brother telling me that I was a new aunt. Brantley and I were at Topsail Beach, while my brother, sister-in-law, mom, and grandma were in Colorado Springs welcoming Ava into our family. Three days later, I was on a plane to see her for myself. She was so tiny and fragile. Now, of course, she's full of life and personality. I love to listen to her cackle and giggle over the phone and watch her clap and smile via skype. I can't wait to see her again! Happy 1st birthday, Ava Mava!
