ready to run
Lately, I've just had that "itch" to run. A few weeks ago, I changed my workout plan to include 30 minutes of cardio. I figured I'd just stick with the elliptical and stair machine, but one day I just felt like running. I didn't expect to do any more than a mile, but I ended up running 2 with no problem. Soon after, 2 miles became 2.5, and that turned into 3. Two days later, 3 turned into 4 miles, and last Sunday, I ran 5 miles in 51 minutes. I had been thinking about running a half marathon again, so I did some research and discovered that there's one in South Charlotte on April 18th. I've let the thought run through my mind for a few days, and I've officially decided to register. And....I've even recruited a running partner! Brantley's friend, Ryan, will be joining me on race day (and hopefully for some long runs between now and then). I know I won't be able to keep pace with him, but it will be nice to have someone pushing me along. Wish me luck!
